Since Unite for Strength took it's place in the Hollywood Board Room, the following important decisions have been made in regards to the current TV/theatrical contract negotiations:

• Federal mediation

We called for, and won, immediate Federal mediation of the TV/Theatrical negotiations. (The Membership First leadership, which had voted down such a move in August, had asked for a strike authorization referendum to be sent out immediately.) Within three weeks each side had met individually with the mediator, and on Thursday, November 20th SAG and the AMPTP will be across the table from each other for the first time since June.
